Blue Arrow Goes Global—Germany
In the global wave of energy transition, Germany—a European powerhouse renowned for its industrial precision and stringent technological standards—has long set exceptionally high expectations for power equipment, making its requirements a veritable “textbook on pickiness.” When Blue Arrow’s skid-mounted photovoltaic grid-connected step-up substation crossed mountains and seas to successfully enter the German market, this collision between “Made in China” ingenuity and “European standards” marked the beginning of a brand-new chapter in the global expansion of power equipment.
Germany is both a major consumer of industrial energy and a pioneering leader in the integration of new energy sources into the grid. Faced with the “tough challenges” of the German market, Blue Arrow’s skid-mounted photovoltaic grid-connected step-up substations—through modular design, factory-based modular integration, and on-site modular assembly—achieve rapid deployment and efficient power recycling while occupying a significantly smaller footprint. The container-type substation occupies only one-tenth the land area of a conventional substation, enabling installation in confined spaces such as street centers and green belts. This results in a 90% increase in land-use efficiency, thereby greatly conserving land resources.
The blue-arrow, skid-mounted photovoltaic grid-connected step-up substation has made its debut in Germany—not just the success of a single deal, but also a signal that China’s high-end power equipment is poised to open the doors to the European market. The containerized substation uses shipping containers as its housing; all electrical equipment has been thoroughly tested and accepted at domestic factories, eliminating the need for civil engineering work on-site overseas. Containerized substations are highly flexible, allowing them to be relocated and reused as a whole. They are easy to manage and carry relatively low risks.
