Company History

1991

On March 15, the Shanghai LANKONG Electrical Control Equipment Complete Sets Factory (the predecessor) was officially established. It subsequently obtained from the State Ministry of Machinery and the Ministry of Electric Power both a production license for high-voltage switchgear and a production license for advanced-type low-voltage complete sets (the “Red Certificate”), becoming one of the first domestic enterprises specializing in the manufacture of high- and low-voltage switchgear to receive “dual certification.”

1992–1998

We have assembled a military-industrial technology team led by senior and mid-level engineers, and introduced advanced equipment such as the Japanese AMADA CNC punch press and the Italian Savinini sheet-metal processing production line.

In 1997, the GCD21 low-voltage switchgear, independently developed, was awarded the National Unified Supervision and Spot-Check Qualification Certificate, the Quality Recognition Certificate, and the Gold Award at the 4th Shanghai Science and Technology Expo.

During this period, the company became one of the first core suppliers to Sinopec and CNPC, providing supporting services to more than 20 large energy enterprises, including Shanghai Petrochemical and Daqing Oilfield.

1999–2005

In 1999, we established a strategic partnership with Siemens of Germany, introducing SIKUS low-voltage switchgear technology and obtaining brand authorization.

In 2001, the company completed its shareholding system reform and was officially renamed Shanghai LANKONG Electric Control Equipment Complete Sets Co., Ltd.

In 2004, the company was included in the National List of Recommended Manufacturers for Power Grid Construction and Renovation in Urban and Rural Areas, released by the State Economic and Trade Commission, and provided equipment for key national projects such as the Three Gorges Project and the Qingshan Thermal Power Plant.

In 2005, we achieved a major technological breakthrough: jointly developed a all-stainless steel box-type substation with Germany’s BOSECKER company, and simultaneously obtained licensing for Schneider Electric’s BLOKSET low-voltage switchgear technology.

2006–2010

A technical cooperation system has been established among the three major international brands: Schneider, Siemens, and ABB.

In 2008, we were awarded the “Outstanding Supplier” title for the first time by Sinopec Qilu Branch.

In 2010, the company simultaneously obtained two important certifications—the “Five-Star Supplier” designation from Baling Petrochemical and the “Qualified Supplier” designation from Huisheng Engineering—marking that its service capabilities in the petrochemical engineering field have received high recognition within the industry.

2011–2018

The business footprint has expanded to cover the three major sectors: power, petrochemicals, and metallurgy.

Power Industry: Becoming a core supplier for Datang Group and China Huadian Corporation, with products used in power generation projects across 25 provinces and cities nationwide.

Metallurgical field: As a member of the Baosteel Group’s Joint R&D and Supply Center for Equipment and Spare Parts, we have provided continuous services for over 10 years.

International Markets: Products are exported to countries including Myanmar, Indonesia, Sudan, South Africa, and Argentina.

Since 2016, it has been continuously recognized as a “Shanghai Contract-Abiding and Credit-Respected Enterprise.”

In 2018, we were certified by the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation and became a “Qualified Supplier in China’s Petrochemical Industry.”

2019–2021

Construction of the Nantong base was launched in 2019, and the new factory officially began production in 2021, equipped with intelligent machinery such as German Trumpf laser cutting machines and Japanese OTC welding robots.

In 2020-2021, we consecutively received the “Outstanding Supplier” title from Sinopec Beihai Refining & Chemical and Qilu Branch.

2022–present

In 2022, we were recognized by the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation as the “Technical Center for High- and Low-Voltage Electrical Control Complete Sets of Equipment in the Petrochemical Industry,” and we were also certified as a National High-Tech Enterprise. Additionally, we received the title of “Outstanding Supplier” from Sinopec Hainan Refining & Chemical Company.

Achieved another outstanding performance in 2023: Received the title of Specialized, Fine, and New Small and Medium-sized Enterprise in Shanghai and the Science and Technology Progress Award from the China Metrology and Testing Society.

2024: The Nantong factory was awarded the title of “Green Factory of Jiangsu Province”; it received the “Outstanding Supplier” award from Sinopec Hunan Petrochemical; and has maintained the honorific title of “Shanghai Contract-Abiding and Creditworthy Enterprise” for eight consecutive years.
