China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC for short) is a super large state-owned company (central enterprise) directly subordinated to the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council. It is the largest offshore oil and gas producer in China. CNOOC was founded in 1982, with registered capital being 94.9 billion. It is headquartered in Beijing, has 98,750 staff members, four upstream branches in Tianjin, Zhanjiang, Shanghai and Shenzhen. CNOOC ranked No.93 among top 500 enterprises of the world in Fortune Magazine of the USA published in 2013.
